November 2021 Announcements

A brief recap of what’s going on.

Official retirement: (13th attempt) April 1st 2022.

Finishing side stories for 86. Just another two as of this writing.

Making memes > translating

Finished Kamiinai v3 after 3000 years. Another 6 to go.

No Tanmoshi v6 from me. I thought I would translate it to Singlish, but looking at the synopsis that is just a story of how Siesta met Kimi, guess not.

No Shikkin v2, to the same user who has been asking.

I’ll probably do myex v8, but Kamiinai v9 will be my final volume.

As to why, let’s just say I’m tired. I know I need to move on, but I still couldn’t let go, until now.

So, we’ll see how it goes.

  1. Hello!
I thinks its my first time commenting
Just wanna say you did a really good job on traslating novels and thank you for doing it

Also if you wanna retire then good luck
    And stay safe

  2. Shikkin guy here, it’s just a joke if you ever thought I was serious because it seemed to be one of the series you regret working on. Your work on Hikaru and Bokushinu will forever be the GOAT. It will be sad to see you retire, but then again, looking at the trend of the kind of series being released in Japan nowadays, I don’t think I will be missing any masterpieces.
Btw, would you be interested at all to work on the short stories that comes with the special editions of Ryuuou volumes 5, 10, 12 & 15 and also 15.5 since it seems unlikely for the official publisher to release them. If you do, I can buy them and send you the text.
Also, it’s been a while so, Shikkin when?

      1. So, what say you about the loli shogi short stories? Also, any plans after you retire from translating, if you don’t mind sharing? Pick up a new hobby?

  3. I really appreciate the work you put into your translations, especially Diabetes the novel and 86.
What would you do after retiring?
    Would this site be archived?
It would be a shame to see you go but I guess who wouldn’t be tired after years of translating, certainly not me lol.
When the time comes, all I could say is
    Good Work 🙂
